Web store software

Woocommerce

Our online store is developed with software from Woocommerce. Personal data that you make available to us for our services are shared with this party. Woocommerce has access to your data to provide us with (technical) support, they will never use your data for any other purpose. Woocommerce is required by the agreement we have with them to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. Woocommerce uses cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, no personal data is collected and/or stored. Lightspeed reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve services.

E-mail and mailing lists

FluentForms

We send our email newsletters using FluentForms. FluentForms will never use your name and email address for its own purposes. At the bottom of every email sent automatically through our website, you will see the 'unsubscribe' link. You will then no longer receive our newsletter. Your personal data is stored securely by MailChimp. MailChimp uses cookies and other internet technologies that provide insight into whether emails are opened and read. MailChimp reserves the right to use your data for the further improvement of its services and to share information with third parties in connection therewith.

Payment processors

Stripe

To handle (part of) the payments in our online store, we use the platform of Stripe. Stripe processes your name, address and place of residence and your payment information such as your bank account or credit card number. Stripe has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Stripe reserves the right to use your data to further improve the service and in this context to share (anonymized) data with third parties. All of the above guarantees regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to those parts of Stripe's service for which it engages third parties. Stripe does not retain your data longer than permitted under the statutory time limits.

Why and how do we process your data?

The data that R&B Builders and Constructors BV processes about you and the way in which we process that data depend primarily on why we are processing your data:

If you purchase a product on our website, we store your identification data, contact information and billing information to fulfill the order. After 5 years (legal retention period), this data is automatically deleted. We do not pass this data on to third parties.

When you visit our website, cookies may be set in order for the website to function properly. Your data or browsing habits are only stored if you give permission. Read for sure our cookie policy for more information.  

If you subscribe to a newsletter, we keep your contact information in order to send you the newsletter. We do not pass this data on to third parties. You can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter itself (then you only unsubscribe for that specific newsletter), or via our unsubscribe page (then you unsubscribe for all communications from R&B Builders and Constructors BV), after which we will remove your data immediately.

When you apply for a position at our company, your personal data, CV and cover letter are requested in order to evaluate the application. This data will be deleted within 4 weeks of the application, unless you expressly agree to the data being kept longer in function of any subsequent vacancies. Your data will not be passed on to third parties or processed outside the European Economic Area. 

In the event that R&B Builders and Constructors BV receives an inspection from the government, certain data may also be requested by the inspection services. In such a case, R&B Builders and Constructors BV may be required to provide certain data to the inspection in order to comply with the legal obligation to cooperate with the inspection. 

How long do we keep your data?

Unless otherwise stated above, we will retain your data for the applicable statutory limitation period for any (extra)contractual claims (5 - 10 years). Due to our legitimate interest in prospecting, we may contact you for up to two years after your last purchase.

The data we process to fulfill our accounting obligations are kept for 7 years as required by law.

If you object to any processing of your data on the basis of our legitimate interest, the data in question will be deleted immediately, unless we also need this data for another purpose and we have obtained the data for that purpose.
